Reyn reigns and Lesly jives to the top
LESLY BAUTISTA
She really didn’t want to become a couch potato. And she wanted to lose weight. So she Googled the word “dance” and stumbled upon the website of Filipino Dance Club-Dubai. Thus, started the story between a charming Ilongga named Lesly, and the FDCD.
At first Lesly hoped to remain the wallflower, but the dancelights beckoned and a Jive Diva was born --- Lesly shot to the Top Ten of the Batch 2- 2007 Class and won First Runnner Up during the Top 5 competitions.
Still, this daytime Personal Assistant remained grounded. She eagerly joined the Advance Class for Jive hoping only to take the exam and earn her certificate. To her great surprise (but not so for the other members of the Club), Leslie was adjudged the Top Winner.
Says Lesly, “I gained not only friends and recognition but the priceless realization that dancing is a way of life. Dancing that has made me a better competitor, both on and off the dance floor and made me strive for perfection in anything I set out to do.”
